TEL Handles Projects of Marine Scrubbers
As the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires that the sulfur content of fuel used by ships worldwide should not exceed 0.5% from 2020, some ship owners chose to install desulfurization systems on ships in accordance with the new regulation.
From May of 2019, TEL was entrusted to arrange four projects of marine scrubbers. The project cargo, including special containers and break bulk, were shipped from Nhava Sheva to Shanghai port on a container vessel. After customs clearance, unloading & loading, we transported the cargo to its consignee at a shipyard on barges and trailers.
We negotiated with the ship owner, terminal, and consignee in advance to ensure smooth cooperation and on-time delivery. Our strong relationship with the port enabled us to berth in preference, and appropriately store the break bulk in port when a typhoon hit Shanghai.
